PartyNextDoor is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite on July 3, 1993, in Mississauga, Ontario. His mother is Jamaican and his father is Trinidadian. PartyNextDoor started out creating music under his abbreviated name Jahron B. He was discovered on Myspace at the age of 17. He eventually landed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell as a songwriter.
CAREER
In 2013, PartyNextDoor became the first artist signed to Drake‘s record label, OVO Sound. His self-titled debut EP, PartyNextDoor, was released on July 1, 2013. The EP featured the singles “Over Here”, “Make a Mil” and “Wus Good / Curious”. It was ranked #6 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums. His debut studio album, PartyNextDoor Two, was released a year later on July 29, 2014. The album peaked at #15 on the Billboard 200 charts. It features the singles “Her Way” and “Recognize”. PartyNextDoor’s second EP, PNDCOLOURS, was released in December 2014. The EP contained four songs and featured the artists, Travi$ Scott, and Ca$h Out.
